Gertie is a brand new British family musical which received an industry showcase in London on 15th June 2018. It's got puppetry and an unexpected, uplifting fantastical story. And seriously catchy songs.

It tells the story of a runt puppy and her adventures as she overcomes all manner of obstacles to find happiness and belonging. Eschewing the traditional storylines and devices of romance, this is a magical story of sisterhood and bravery as two dogs from distinctly different backgrounds are thrown together and forced to cooperate to escape danger and find their way home. With catchy melodies, mournful ballads, and memorable characters, this is a truly unique family musical unafraid to match the darker elements of the puppy farming industry with the uplifting messages of courageousness and acceptance. 

 

Fantasy, music, danger, family and music all come together for this uniquely melancholic musical.
